Morgan played a female character in AIDS prevention and educational video Safe Sex for Men and Women. Proceeds from the video were given to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She's a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan spearheaded other fund raising projects and also gave testimony on a Congressional panel about AIDS awareness. She sits part of the Board of Governors of APLA as well as the Board of Directors of Amfar. The former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to substitute for him during AIDS events and she has been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special featuring anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have been on Nightline twice to discuss AIDS. Morgan was nominated to win an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. Morgan was co-starring on ABC TV's Your Money or Your Wife in springtime along with Joan Rivers. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon that was created by Von Zeerneck and Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams were also on the show. Then, she was transported to Luxembourg for the Harmony Gold's Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee also appeared in the show. Morgan has also been the only actress to appear in the thriller on USA Network's psychological suspense, which garnered some of most impressive ratings they have ever had.
